6th Meeting in Greece
8 – 15 of May 2010 
in Primary school of Mesimeri - Edessa

The sixth  and last meeting in Greece was successful too. The Greek school “Primary school of Mesimeri “ in Edessa organized  the whole program successfully and we followed it absolutely. 

     RESULTS of the 6th  Meeting in Greece

In the beginning we had a visit in Thessaloniki with the Turkish team and later with the German, the Lithuanian and the Estonian team. Later all together we had a trip to Meteora.

We had a welcome at school and then the presentation of the  whole project to the guests and the involved associated partners and local authorities.   

We visited the cultural and traditional exhibition in our school. we visited the Lutraki - Pozar thermal spring water area, the folklore museum in Kozani and the protected area of the wildlife bears Nymfaion - Arktouros.

Our excursions continued to the  ancient area of Pella, and Vergina the palaces from the Macedonian kings and of course we enjoyed the sea near Katerini.

All the countries presented their dances and games and we learned all together. We had a guided tour in Edessa - Cataracts  and a walk by the waterfalls and the old town.

Last day in Edessa we had a Goodbye party and barbecue lunch at school with the parents association. we continued in Thessaloniki and we enjoyed our last moments before saying see you again for the end of our project

Except this webpage we created for our final product a DVD with all the activities during our project, a lot of material, like films, illustrated cards, calendars, dried herbariums, maps of our countries etc.  Finally we created an exhibition with posters - maps from all the participant countries. Emotions in a song (made from the German school)

5th Meeting in Germany
20 – 27 of March 2010 
in Liebfrauen Realschule - Nottuln

The fifth meeting in Germany was successful too. The German school “Liebfrauen Realschule “ in Nottuln” organized  the whole program successfully and we followed it absolutely. We are thankful to Ms. SUSANA MARTINS and Mr. RUDOLF SEGBERT the coordinators, the Director Mr. ULRICH SUTTRUP  and the whole Comenius team for their perfect work as far  as all the participants and the children is concerned.

     RESULTS of the 5th  Meeting in Germany

«20- 27 of March 2010»

       During the meeting in Germany, we went a lot of trips. We had a guided tour in Düsseldorf. On the way to Nottuln we stopped at Oberhausen (one of the European Capitals of Culture in 2010) and went by an exhibition about the solar system and our space system. We visited the famous All-weather Zoo, a great school and we had a guided tour in Münster, we visited Cologne and the famous cathedral. we had the opportunity to visit the open air museum in Münster and enjoy the German - Westphalia traditions.

       Workshop No 1 – We presented and discussed about the herbarium processing. We discussed about the feedback of the herbariums.

         Workshop No 2 – We presented for teachers and students meals from all the participant countries and then we cooked all the above in the school kitchen and taste it. We created illustrated cards A6 with 5 proverbs and 5 riddles or metaphors.

Workshop No 3 - We discussed about the final report and the final products.

Workshop No 4 - Project meeting for teachers (planning the next and final meeting in Greece  as well).

·       We will present our project (the coordinating school) and the partners their countries and school in short (10 min). etc

·       We will bring each partner something (can be a poster) from our country to include it in the Comenius project exhibition in Greece (it could be anything popular - famous - tradition from our country). This must be in 6 copies (something like the posters from Germany).

·         The cards with riddles and proverbs we have from all the partners we will show to our students and we let them play with it. Then we will ask them what they understood and if they have questions. The results from the games we will write on a page from a word document and will bring it in meeting in Greece.

·       We will ask our students how they liked all the films (film 1st, a day of a pupil, 2nd film a legend), the cards with the words from our dictionary, the cards with the riddles and proverbs, the herbariums etc, and we will write all this on a page from a word document and will bring it in meeting in Greece.

·       Finally we will prepare a game and a dance from our country – region and we will show it during the meeting in Greece with our children to all the students. We will write on a page from a word document the steps and will explain there the game and the dance. Some of the partners can use a DVD for showing the games and the dances because they will not have children as well.

·       We have to discuss about the final product, the DVD will prepare the Greek school of Mesimeri and the final report for our project.

4th Meeting in Lithuania 

17 – 24 of October 2009 

in Zokniai Basic School - Siauliai

The fourth meeting in Lithuania was successful. The Lithuanian school “Zokniai Basic School “ in Siauliai” organized  the whole program successfully and we followed it absolutely. We are thankful to Ms. ASTA JONISKIENE the coordinator, Ms. EVELINA AKSOMAITIENE the assistant coordinator, the Director Ms. SVETLANA GINIOTIENE and the whole Comenius team for their perfect work as far  as all the participants and the children is concerned.

RESULTS of the 4th  Meeting in Lithuania «17 - 24 of October 2009»
       During the meeting in Lithuania, we went a lot of trips in the city to Ch. Frenkel vila, Museum of Bicycles, Sun’s Watch, Cathedral, by bus to Birzai castle, Kernave area, Trakai, Vilnius, Gruzdziai, Kursenai, Hill of Crosses and Franciscan Monastery. We also visited the library of Siauliai University and the pedagogical department of the university.
      Workshop No 1 – We presented and discussed about the films – legends processing. We discussed about the feedback of the legends.
      Workshop No 2 – Project meeting for teachers and students (Presentation of herbarium)

Workshop No 3 – Project meeting for teachers (planning the next teachers’ exchanges and the meeting in Germany as well).

We will present all the herbariums to our pupils in each school and we will discuss with our students about: similarities, common plants we saw in the herbariums, common plants which we saw in other herbariums and which we had not in ours but there are in our regions. At last, we will ask if anyone has a plant that doesn’t exist in our country and we could bring it in the Germany meeting. Please send by e-mail the power point presentation with your herbarium till 6^th of November 2009 to all the partners.

We will create one Recipe: a whole meal (salad or soup, main meal, dessert or fruit). The meal could contain potatoes, milk, cheese, tomatoes (not pork). We have to present it in power point, and also create illustrated cards A6 (4 cards by a A4 page) with 5 proverbs and 5 riddles or metaphors.

We will have to cook the meal in Germany. So, you can bring with you any ingredient you like or you can buy everything from Germany.

In Germany: We will meet first in Düsseldorf and we will visit a zoo park. The dates will be announced shortly.
